The Metal Mag is a unique magazine that has no sponsors nor paying adverts.
The reason for this is simple, most magazines have always big bands and so sell pretty well known. The labels are advertising on those magazines to promote the bands.
The main purpose from the beginning of The Metal Mag was to spread underground bands , as the ones you never see in those famous magazines.
As such most bands in The Metal Mags are not the ones you see in those magazines.
The magazine is so made by myself Franck Michaud with my own money, made by a fan for the fans!
To make it happen and respect my job I ask bands to pay for the review and interviews.
I am overwhelmed by demands and can not answer nor please everyone.
The Metal Mag was born in 1998 in England, the wish to support Metal bands in the world. A magazine is readable for free with live video interviews and link to partners.
