Very known in his country, Markus Winter has been blasting dark tunes for quite some time. His releases are most exceptional and rare so fans must go fast to own the precious album. The last album “Pale Horse” got so much love, he decided to release this limited numbered edition with bonuses. Limited to 300 copies, mine being the 261, you can imagine how the fans will jump on this pretty quickly.
Markus, found a way to gather the likes and interests. This is a very good idea. But wait, this special album will get an LP release shortly! The album title “Looking Back” is referring to the previous material being remastered at Finnvox Studio to bring a much better sound than before. AÂ sought-after artist who releases rare albums.Â
For those who know Markus, they may find a new musical direction while most discover him for the first time. Will hear a modern Rock band with dark atmosphere roots. He remade the songs to be remastered and so we can assume he gave a little twist to give them another flow to his music genre. The first song called ‘we believe in rock’, talks about those bands who marked music history.

While his previous cover art was more in the design field, this time he decided to get on the cover. This may show a must more evolution material than the previous one, or simply to get a special limited cover as the album is intended to. The influences are pretty hard to describe unless you are into this kind of music style. What I can say is this is dark, so it means a heavy voice that resonates into your mind like death is calling you.
If you like Type O Negative, Paradise Lost new wave Gothic style or such… Danzig, The Cure.. Â You will love it. But it is also very Rock oriented, so you might find yourself falling in love with one of the sixteen songs on this album!Â
A good album to be on the edge of music styles, diving into the darkness of feelings and emotions to rock your days 70/100.
