Molybaron : “The Mutiny” Digipack CD & Digital June 2021 Season Of Mist. French / Irish Heavy Rock band.

The sound has changed since the nineties, any band that has power riffs or great guitar solos are put into the Metal world. Yet they are just heavy Rock ‘n Roll bands.

Molybaron is one of them! Reminding good old Rock ‘n Roll with heavy tunes. They are using old recipe from great bands and combine them into a massive powerful meal. Some of the members must have Heavy Metal influences , hence the guitar solos being so well worked at some point reminding you few bands.

So it’s difficult to categorise a band that is 100% Rock but has a strong sound that is messing up with today’s people mind. Music has been smashed since the mid nineties and as many wants to explode the styles and genders; people get confused. Influences from Chris De burg, Metallica, Billy Idol, Muse, Lenny Kravitz

A very good Rock and Roll band pushing the boundaries to get a place in this word full of bands. The cover artwork is in the vein of Picaso, legendary painter but released with today’s technology. The cover is important; this is what brings people attention to get interested by what’s inside and so buy the album.

In this field Molybaron found the right art to catch people’s eyes. The band found the good melodies and catchy riffs to capture your attention, sadly it has a lack of lyrics to my like. There is probably a reason’s for but at the end earring twenty times the title track just becomes boring.

It could have been an excellent band without those parts singing the same things over and over again. I have lost the interest of trying to find a link or even a theme of the album with those repeating vocals. This is a band to catch live as the power they bring might move the crowd.

In the overall it is a good album but not a great one, listen and get your hand on it if you get caught up by the music 70/100.
